    Virtual Play and Geeky Tools

    Therapy or coaching support utilizing play, virtual sandtray, comic creation and origin stories, fandom/fanfic art or writing and various gaming to explore and support skill development. Play and digital tools have been well researched in effectiveness for all ages in learning to apply and practice many executive function skills, as well as explore many other daily living situations.     Play Therapy (ages 12 and up)

    Today's teens (and adults!) have never had life more stressful and chaotic. From daily difficulties of work and academic achievements, relationships, hectic schedules, and adjusting to unexpected crisis, we have a lot going on! Then, if we also struggle with mental health symptoms, and/or adjusting to trauma experiences, where can we find hope for help? RIGHT HERE.

    Coaching

    There are a wide range of virtual services available for neurodivergent coaching that are not generally covered by insurance~adulting life skills, executive function supports, leadership coaching, HSP/Empath’s and Boundaries, Values/ACT Living, Creative Lifestyles and Burnout, Neurodivergent Parenting, Religious Deconstruction, Poly/Kink Journeys~ all utilizing various alternative perspectives when interested, including geek/fandoms, art, or astrology and tarot if interested!

    Therapy

    Neurodivergent flexible therapeutic approaches for various trauma and mental health needs, utilizing EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), IFS (Internal Family Systems) parts work, and Narrative Therapy, using an ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) mindful, nurturing, and compassionate approach, to heal and meet the needs of our past.

    Virtual groups for neurodivergent youth and young adults, as well as coaching groups on various topics start periodically, depending on interest. Message now to be added to a wait list! Make sure and mention the age group and/or area of interest.

Coaching and Therapy differences

Therapy and coaching are very different! Therapy with The Hope Chest is for finding mental health stability and/or integrating trauma and is only provided in the states of Illinois, Michigan, and Missouri. Coaching is specific to areas of interest not covered by insurance or medical necessity, and is available worldwide. If unsure which is better for you, ask for more info!
