About Me
Rachel Wethers, MSW, LCSW, currently provides virtual therapy and coaching support in the states of Illinois, Michigan and Missouri. She has over 15 years of clinical therapy experience with a history of managing and providing therapy services virtually (online), in office, in home, in school, community-based, residential, and in crisis settings. She enjoys developing and motivating the skills and interests of all ages, but has unique experience with neurodivergent minds and those who have experienced a background of trauma and adversity.
~
Rachel prefers to utilize a trauma-informed, mindfulness, strengths based, and nurturing approach in all of her work. She believes that felt safety and internal co/self-regulation skills are the heart of the ability for acceptance, as well as change, when it is what YOU want and are ready for. In therapy she utilizes various theoretical skills from ACT, DBT, EMDR, IFS and Narrative and Attachment Therapies. Uniquely, she often utilizes geek therapy approaches, incorporating various special interests like gaming, comics, fandom, fanfics, and superhero tools in an interactive experience to explore our various needs and difficulties.
~
In addition to areas of therapeutic background, Rachel has available support and motivation in coaching areas of business leadership skills, daily life skills or executive function supports for neurodivergent adults, spiritual alternative supports such as astrology and tarot, or life adjustments after stressful, traumatic events, such as post-incarceration, post foster care, or critical event resolutions and coordination of needs. Just ask about coaching!

As a previous foster youth who aged out of a difficult system herself, Rachel brings a unique perspective to trauma related needs. She is comfortable working with clients of all backgrounds and seeks to affirm all cultural, income, race, religious, gender or sexual orientations, or neurodivergencies. As a fellow ADHDer, she wants everyone to know that all brains and hearts are welcome and celebrated here.
This is a safe space for ALL.
